Armenia and Azerbaijan will also address the issue of enclaves/exclaves in the process of demarcation of the border, Armenia is going to justify being part of the Artsvashen exclave, de jure Armenia.

According to "Armenpress", Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in a conversation with journalists, referring to the agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on border demarcation.

According to Pashinyan, there is a very "allergic" attitude in Armenia regarding the topic of enclaves/exclaves.

"But we cannot abandon the topic of enclaves/exclaves, because Armenia's 29 thousand 743 sq. km sovereign territory also includes Artsvashen, which is an exclave from our point of view, an enclave from the point of view of Azerbaijan. We have agreed that we will address this issue. We are going to de jure justify the Artsvashen exclave being a de jure part of Armenia," Pashinyan said.

During the working process, the commissions on demarcation issues should put the documents on the table. "When we justify it de jure, demarcation of the border of Artsvashen should take place," said the Prime Minister.
