RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan expressed "cautious optimism" regarding the May 10 meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

"The establishment of final peace comes from the interests of Armenia and Azerbaijan. I want to express cautious optimism regarding the upcoming negotiations," Mirzoyan said at a meeting with journalists in Hungary.

He mentioned that Armenia and Azerbaijan managed to reach an agreement on many issues and now he believes that he will be able to reach an agreement with his Azerbaijani counterpart.

According to him, Armenia and Azerbaijan still do not have a full mutual understanding regarding the unblocking of transport infrastructures in the region.

"On these issues, I think sooner or later we will be able to reach an agreement, because there is a certain understanding in the case of heads of states and deputy prime ministers. If we manage to clearly record all this in the peace agreement, we can say that we are reaching a place in terms of establishing peace," added Ararat Mirzoyan.
