The demarcation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia is important for regional stability, stated the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, "News.am" reports.

"We are following the beginning of the practical stage of the demarcation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia։ it is important for regional stability. We support the settlement of all border demarcation issues exclusively by political and diplomatic methods, we assume that the agreements should be stable, balanced, mutually acceptable and be the basis for achieving sustainable peace in the region," he said at a briefing on Thursday.

Zakharova confirmed Russia's readiness to provide advisory assistance to the parties in demarcation on the basis of tripartite agreements.
