The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Baku issued a statement on the information published in the press about the conclusion of the contract for the purchase and sale of CAESAR self-propelled artillery units between France and Armenia.

The statement says that despite the warning of the Azerbaijani side, France's provision of lethal and offensive artillery units and other weapons to Armenia is another proof of France's provocative activity in the South Caucasus region.

According to the report, although the French Ministry of Defense claimed in its statement in October of last year that the military equipment supplied to Armenia is of a defensive nature, the supply of lethal weapons to Armenia under the current military deal is another manifestation of hypocrisy.

"We declare that the responsibility for the aggravation of the situation in the South Caucasus and the creation of a new hotbed of war will be fully borne by the Armenian revanchist political leadership and Macron's dictatorship," the statement said.

The enemy state makes threatening statements at the state level, tries to baselessly accuse Armenia and place the responsibility entirely on another party. It is obvious from the rhetoric of Aliyev and his administration that information propaganda is one of the main tools through which they try to provoke instability.
