The head of NATO warned about the consequences if China continues to support Russia in the war against Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has warned China for supporting Russia in the ongoing military operations in Ukraine.

"It is not stable and effective that China continues to be the biggest security threat to NATO allies, especially in Europe, supporting the Russian war economy," Stoltenberg said during an interview in Ottawa. It should be noted that he came to Canada to meet Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Referring to Putin's visit to North Korea, Stoltenberg emphasized the importance of unity among NATO allies, especially at a time when "authoritarian states like Russia, North Korea, Iran and China are becoming more and more united."

"It is extremely important that we (NATO) cooperate closely with the Asia Pacific region, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Australia against the backdrop of the unity of Russia, China and North Korea," he said, adding that Putin's visit is a testimony to that in the Ukrainian conflict he depends on "authoritarian partners".

Stoltenberg once again warned China about its supportive attitude toward Russia, stressing that "there will and must be consequences."
