It is absurd to blame Armenia for wanting to defend itself, especially after losing the war. Frédéric Ansel, a French specialist in geopolitics, a lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science in Paris, said this in an interview with the "Armenpress" correspondent in Brussels, commenting on the question that France and the Armenian-French military cooperation are the target of the Azerbaijani authorities and have raised a wave of threats.

"In recent decades, Azerbaijan has massively imported quite dangerous weapons, which were used in 2020. Therefore, I do not understand very well why we should belittle Armenia's right to defend itself. I think that creating conditions for war is not acquiring weapons. Armenia is right that it wants to change alliances. I think it should turn to France and the USA, because it has no alternative, because Russia showed in 2020 that it plays a double game," said the French political scientist, noting that Armenia's geopolitical future depends on the West, including from France.
