Mirzoyan and Blinken met in Washington

On June 27, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Washington. This is reported by the RA MFA.

During the meeting, issues related to regional security and stability were discussed, reference was made to the process of regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Ensuring the border demarcation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the Alma-Ata Declaration and the 1975 on the map, the withdrawal of troops from the border, as well as the proper addressing of the rights and security issues of the people of Nagorno Karabakh as an important factor in establishing lasting peace in the region.

The interlocutors also exchanged ideas on issues of unblocking transport infrastructure in the region.

Ararat Mirzoyan presented the humanitarian crisis caused by the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the imperative for Azerbaijan to give up belligerent rhetoric, as well as to return all Armenian prisoners of war.
