The Russian Federation has confirmed its willingness to organize a tripartite meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Moscow in the near future

On July 17, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu. According to Sputnik Armenia, this was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During the conversation, the situation in the South Caucasus, the process of reconciliation between Baku and Yerevan were discussed. "The Russian side has confirmed the need for the complete and immediate unblocking of the Berdzor (Lachini-ed.) corridor, the restoration of transport links along it in both directions, in accordance with the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020, as well as the need for normal living conditions in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh-ed.) the need for creation," the message states.

Regarding the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry on July 15, the Russian Foreign Ministry described the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry as "incorrect" and emphasized that the Russian Federation has always respected and treats "the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is fully committed to allied cooperation to the spirit and letter of the bilateral declaration".

At the same time, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federation, this does not cancel the task of comprehensive promotion of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations settlement process, all the issues on the agenda, "including ensuring the rights and security of the people of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh-ed.), exclusively through peaceful political-diplomatic methods to resolve the issue."

The Russian side has confirmed its willingness to organize a tripartite meeting of foreign ministers in Moscow in the near future to discuss the ways of implementing high-level agreements, including the topic of agreeing on a peace treaty, which will be followed by a summit of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in Moscow in order to sign the said document.
