The army games held under the auspices of the RA Prime Minister have started

On August 21, the opening ceremony of the army games held for the first time between the power structures took place at the Melkonyan Military Sports Academy under the auspices of the RA Prime Minister.

As reported by the RA Ministry of Defense, the event was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, the First Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, the Minister of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan, representatives of the security agencies and other officials.

Wishing success and fair competition to the contestants, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Lieutenant-General Edward Asryan expressed their belief that these games will further strengthen the spirit of sports competition and partnership cooperation of the representatives of the power structures, and the army tournament held for the first time will become annual and traditional.

The speakers also emphasized that the contestants are among the best, because they have gone through a difficult pre-election path, so they have the honor to represent their power structures, showing their willpower, professionalism and sports skills to the maximum.

The collective teams of the RA Defense, Internal Affairs, Justice Ministries, National Security Service, State Revenue and Investigative Committees, Prosecutor's Office and State Security Service are participating in the military games, which will compete in several competitions for about a week.

The opening ceremony of the Army Games was concluded with a ceremonial march of the collective teams and a performance by the song and dance ensemble of the RA Armed Forces.
