41 citizens moved from Artsakh to Armenia. the Azerbaijanis forced them to cross the Hakari bridge on foot. VIDEO
Today, 41 citizens of Russia and Artsakh were transferred from Artsakh to Armenia by Russian peacekeepers, which is the first case since June 14. Russian citizens have been waiting for their transfer for a long time, and Artsakh citizens are students who have been admitted to RA and foreign universities. This is reported by Artsakh Information Headquarters.
According to the preliminary agreement reached with the peacekeepers, the transfer of students and Russian citizens will continue in the coming days.
However, the Azerbaijani side continues to obstruct the two-way movement of many people. As of now, hundreds of citizens in Armenia are waiting to return to Artsakh, 333 people are waiting to be transferred to Armenia through the Red Cross on emergency and planned health grounds, not counting the need for two-way movement of thousands of people for humanitarian, work and other purposes.
The Azerbaijani side continues to create humiliating conditions at the illegal checkpoint located near the Hakari bridge, in addition to illegal surveillance and obstacles for the citizens of Artsakh. In particular, against the will of the persons, the Azerbaijanis and the journalists they invited once again filmed their faces and used them for propaganda purposes. In addition, the Azerbaijani side did not allow the vehicles of the Russian peacekeeping troops to cross the Hakari bridge, forcing the passengers to cross the bridge with their luggage on foot, after which they continued their journey with the vehicles that came from Goris (proof in the attached video).
From June 15 until today, Azerbaijan continues to prohibit the movement of all humanitarian goods from Armenia to Artsakh, as a result of which the humanitarian disaster in Artsakh is deepening day by day. And in Kornidzor community of Syunik marz of RA, near the entrance of Lachin Corridor, since July 26, around 400 tons of humanitarian aid sent by the RA government to Artsakh continues to be suspended.
The passage of citizens through the illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint does not in any way change the position of the government of the Republic of Artsakh regarding that checkpoint operating in the Lachin Corridor and the rest of the Azerbaijani obstacles. The government of the Republic of Artsakh continues to insist that the uninterrupted and two-way movement of people, vehicles and cargo through the Lachin Corridor should be fully restored, without any Azerbaijani interference, in accordance with the 2020 2023 of the tripartite declaration of November 9 and the orders of February 22 and July 6 of International Court of Justice of the United Nations.
