USA announces suspension of military aid to Azerbaijan

US Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien announced that the United States has suspended military aid to Azerbaijan.

As "Armenpress" reports, O'Brien said this during the hearing in the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress.

O'Brien stated that after Azerbaijan's military aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19, they said that relations with Azerbaijan would not be normal until they saw progress in peace talks, adding that they had canceled several high-level visits, condemned Baku actions.

"Amendment 907 prohibiting military support to Azerbaijan will remain in force until the situation improves," said the US assistant secretary of state.
