The US may impose sanctions against Turkey for cooperation with Russia. Bloomberg
US Undersecretary of the Treasury for Counter-Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson will visit Turkey next week to discuss US sanctions against Russian entities. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its sources, "News" reports.
According to the agency, he will ask Turkey to comply with US sanctions against a number of Russian organizations and the financial activities of Hamas.
Earlier, Washington imposed sanctions on about a dozen Turkish companies and some individuals for helping Russia circumvent the restrictions. It is noted that the US has warned of possible sanctions against a number of Turkish companies, which could disrupt their ties with the Western financial system.
