On December 4, around 2:35 p.m., the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the Armenian position located in the region of Bazhtrun (Vayots Dzor region), as a result of which Gerasim Avetik Arakelyan, a soldier of the N military unit of the RA Defense Force, received a fatal gunshot wound. We are informed about this from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
