
In the scope of a working visit to Brusel Mirzoyan had several more than 10 meetings
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summed up all the visits and meetings of the previous week of Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, RA.
On December 11-12, RA Foreign Minister visited Brussels and participated in the meeting of the EU Council of Foreign Ministers, a special format to thoroughly discuss RA-EU perspectives and regional issues.
The ministerial meeting of the Eastern Partnership also took place, during which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the ideas of the Republic of Armenia regarding the format of the EaP. It is noteworthy that on December 14, Minister Mirzoyan congratulated Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova for the decisions made by the European Council.
During his working visit to Brussels, Minister Mirzoyan had more than ten meetings with colleagues, including the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, France, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Luxembourg.
As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia mentioned during a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia on December 13, it was symbolic that "we arrived in Yerevan on the same plane" to conduct the working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia to Armenia. after a long pause, an important visit at the level of a foreign political leader. During the joint press conference, positions were taken regarding Armenia-Estonia, RA-EU partnership, regional developments, support for democracy, as well as Estonia's initiation of the Armenian Genocide recognition process.
The next day, on December 14, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia chaired the ministerial meeting of landlocked developing countries held in Armenia. The latter was one of the largest events ever organized in Armenia together with the United Nations. more than 30 foreign delegations participated, including representatives of landlocked developing and transit countries, the region and neighboring countries of Armenia.
On December 14, a joint statement on establishing diplomatic relations with Botswana was signed. in the last two months, the second country after Saudi Arabia, with which RA established diplomatic relations.
