Erdogan and Zelenski discussed the release of prisoners in Crimea
Ukrainian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Zelensky and Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation, during which they discussed the release of prisoners in Crimea.
"Prisoners and all their returns to whom repressions are carried out in the occupied area, in particular in Crimea. Turkey's mediation is very important that everyone, adults and children, soldiers and civilians, are released, "Zelensky said in his video message.
According to Vladimir Zelyansky, the work on the "Peace Resolution" was discussed, including a new meeting, which will take place in January in Davos.
At the same time, the Turkish-President's press service reports that during the telephone conversation Erdogan noted Turkey's intensive efforts to stop bloodshed and establishing peace. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
"Erdogan said that Turkey is ready to take on the role of mediator and accept peace talks to restore peace in Ukraine," the Turkish presidential press service said in a statement.
