The President of Azerbaijan spoke about changing the RA Constitution for the first time, and with a threat, in 2021. Arman Tatoyan
The President of Azerbaijan spoke for the first time about changing the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, on April 13, 2021, not today. Arman Tatoyan, the former RA MP, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"The issue of the constitution is a specific Azeri-Turkish dictate, which, unfortunately, also stems from the political interests of the RA government.
Today (February 1 - ed.) the President of Azerbaijan simply repeated it and threatened to change not only the RA Constitution, but also laws, Government decisions and all other legal acts (including this is not new). In other words, RA laws, army, economy and so on will follow the Constitution.
In connection with this issue, we studied the public-political domain of Azerbaijan. Here are the same theses and justifications with which the RA government advances the issue of the new Constitution.
Today, the president of Azerbaijan personally praised this discussion of the RA government.
With this agenda, the RA government is questioning the legitimacy of Armenia. Our state is being made a prisoner of the Azerbaijani government.
This is absolutely beneficial to Azerbaijan in the sense that it diverts attention from its crimes in Artsakh and legitimizes them.
Now it is vital for Azerbaijan to eliminate 2023 in every possible way. mass forced displacement of Artsakh Armenians in September, their return, Azerbaijani mass crimes in different periods, occupation of Armenian territories and other topics. Not to mention that Azerbaijan's plans for eradicating Armenian cultural heritage, deepening enmity, and annexing Armenia are deepening in parallel.
Instead of focusing on vital issues for us (from responsibility for Azerbaijani crimes to the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh and the elimination of Azerbaijani invasions of Armenia), Azerbaijani dictates are being pushed forward," Tatoyan wrote.
