According to Pashinyan, peace is impossible if they are guided by the Declaration of Independence

We have put the pursuit of historical justice at the foundation of our state, but we have not formulated what historical justice is, because different political forces and groups, ideologies of Armenia understand completely different things by "historical justice". This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly today, February 7, News.am reports.

"In general, our important task in this period should be self-realization. We have to process and understand the enormous information that we have now due to tragic circumstances, starting from the first years of our independence, from further developments. I spoke about it in 2020, 2021, 2022. The goal is that we should bring out the internal contradictions and contradictions in the content of our state, and we should face them and understand what it means. Let's note that political texts have implementation, result and consequence. In the preamble of the same declaration, three main guidelines are set, one of which is the aspirations of the Armenian people, historical justice, and the third is the problem of Nagorno Karabakh. What is historical justice, moreover, there can be various interpretations of historical justice, and that is where the problem lies.

We have put the desire for historical justice at the foundation of our state, but we have not formulated what historical justice is, because different political forces and groups and ideologies of Armenia understand completely different things by the term historical justice. What is the wish of the Armenian people? the Armenian people live in Argentina, the United States, Russia, Iran and Israel, are we sure that the souls of the Armenian people living there are the same, are we convinced? If we are sure, where is it formulated? What does the decision on the unification of Nagorno-Karabakh and the Republic of Armenia mean? Do we build our policies on it in the future? If so, then what kind of peace are we talking about? That discussion has nothing to do with someone else, it is our discussion. It is about our today, tomorrow, our future," Pashinyan said.

According to him, it turns out that the stories we are talking about are not the story of a single life. "In other words, as a citizen, I will not have the realization of those dreams, and as a citizen, what will happen to me is stated in my fundamental document, I will never have it, I will pass the problem of not having it, but striving for it, to the next generation, and he will not have it either."
