The Military Police of the RA Ministry of Defense on Azerbaijan's announcement of violating the ceasefire in the direction of Kovsakan

The information spread by the Azerbaijani media about the opening of fire by the Armenian guards on the Kapan-Zangelan section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border on February 12 is being investigated. This was reported by the military police of the RA Ministry of Defense.

"The cases when the serviceman, assessing the situation, can and/or is obliged to make a decision to open fire are clearly defined by the written orders of the superior command.

According to the preliminary information, there was no such situation in this area on February 12. If this circumstance is confirmed, those guilty of violating the order will be held accountable," the message says.

Let's remind that earlier Azerbaijani media reported that Armenia has violated the ceasefire regime in the direction of Zangilan(Kovsakan). The Azerbaijani side reported that one of the troops of the state border guard service was wounded.
