Like the leaders of other countries, the president of Ukraine can visit Armenia. MP about Zelensky's possible visit
Babken Tunyan, deputy of the ruling "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, has no information about the possible visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Armenia.
According to "Armenpress", Tunyan said this in a conversation with journalists in the parliament.
"I have no information about that. I assume that the other members of the faction also," Tunyan noted.
Turning to the question whether he considers Zelensky's visit likely, Tunyan answered that he had not thought about it. "But I don't think it's incredible either."
The MP refrained from making an assessment whether the possible visit will be positive or negative. "After all, the president of Ukraine is the elected leader of the country. And like the leaders of other countries, if there is no special ban, he can visit Armenia," he said.
Turning to the question whether he does not see an anti-Russian tone in the possible visit, Tunyan said that, in fact, one can find an anti-Russian tone in everything, if one looks for it.
Since there is no official announcement about the possible visit at that moment, the MP did not make any other comment.
The media spread information that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Yerevan and Baku in March. It is noted that the visit to Armenia will probably take place on March 4. In response to the question of "Armenpress", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia responded to the spreading news, noting that it is officially informed about high-ranking visits in due time.
