There is no need for Russia's help, we can carry out the border guard service in "Zvartnots" alone. Mirzoyan

The Armenian side has notified the Russian side that, in fact, we no longer feel the need for the Russian side's support and participation in the border guard service implemented in "Zvartnots". RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan said this today during the press conference of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Cyprus.

"From the beginning, the participation of Russian border guards in a number of points, including "Zvartnots", was thought of as support for the newly independent Armenian state, and it is planned to carry out this function until Armenia needs it. And when Armenia has its institutional capabilities, that function will naturally be implemented by Armenia through its own bodies. Now, we think that RA is institutionally able to carry out the border guard service in "Zvartnots" alone. The Armenian side notified the Russian side about this.

I assume that this will be enough for the Russian side and the issue will be resolved.
