The French Prime Minister also added that Russia wants to punish Armenia for its pursuit of peace, respect for its sovereignty, the principles that Moscow disrespects in Ukraine.

Atal mentioned Armenia's accession to the International Criminal Court, stressing that Armenia chose democracy and the path of being a legal state.

The French Prime Minister stressed that Moscow did not condemn Azerbaijan's use of force in Nagorno-Karabakh, where Armenians lived until the end of last year, adding that the so-called Russian peacekeeping forces allowed a humanitarian crisis to occur there.
