Armenia-Italy defense consultations were held in Rome

Armenia-Italy defense consultations were held in Rome on March 19-20. The Armenian delegation was headed by Levon Ayvazyan, the head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of the RA Ministry of Defense, the RA Ministry of Defense informs.

The department notes that during the consultations, the delegation of the RA Ministry of Defense discussed the progress and development prospects of Armenia-Italy cooperation in the field of defense with Major General Enrico Barduani, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Italian Defense Minister, Head of Defense Policy, and Colonel Mattia Zuzzi, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Defense Ministry.

Levon Ayvazyan presented the security situation around Armenia and the ongoing reforms in the armed forces.

At the end of the consultations, the annual program of military cooperation between Armenia and Italy was signed, and a number of agreements were reached.
