Canada joined the EU mission in Armenia, the first expert arrived in Armenia

Canada has joined the EU mission in Armenia, the X page of the mission informs, noting that they received the first Canadian expert, Alexander Grushevsky, yesterday.

"Thank you Canada for the valuable cooperation," said the X page of the mission.

The Canadian mission welcomed this fact on its X page. - "We are glad that the Canadian expert is joining the EU mission in Armenia, continuing Canada's long-standing tradition of participating in EU missions."

Back in July 2023, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie announced that Canada will participate in the EU mission in Armenia, noting that Canada was accepted by the EU as a third party to the mission.

Official Yerevan also welcomed, noting that it highly appreciates Canada's contribution and presence in Armenia for the sake of peace and stability in the region.

EU observers have arrived in Armenia since February 2023. At that time, there were 100 people in the mission. Now there are already 138 observers, until September they will have 209 members.
