"Hraparak". Three delimitation options were discussed
"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "According to our official source, the parties discussed three options for demarcation for a long time, and allegedly the middle one was chosen, neither the worst nor the best, from the point of view of the interests of the Republic of Armenia. The best option was for the process to be implemented as a compromise option, on the principle of "Azerbaijan to Azerbaijan, ours to us".
In other words, we would go back to 1991. at the borders. we would return the Azerbaijani territories that came under Armenian control during the war of the 90s, they would also give the Armenian lands.
Naturally, Aliyev did not agree to this option. Armenia also considered it a great success that they did not stick to the worst option, according to which Azerbaijan offered to immediately return the 4 settlements of Tavush to it, and then separately discuss the borders of Jermuk, Gegharkunik, Syunik and other marzes.
The third option was chosen: to draw the interstate border with the Alma-Ata declaration, where, by the way, the borders of no state are indicated."
