
Yerevan is considering Kazakhstan's proposal to organize a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia will inform about the date of the possible meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan upon the proposal of the Kazakh side as soon as an agreement is reached.
In response to "Armenpress"՛s question, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said this.
"As we have mentioned before, RA considers and is in favor of those mediation efforts or negotiation platforms that are really aimed at the goal of achieving lasting peace in the South Caucasus, supports fundamental principles and mutually agreed documents, including the 1991 On the basis of the Alma-Ata Declaration, the process of recognition and demarcation of each other's territorial integrity by Armenia and Azerbaijan. On the proposal of the Kazakh side, we will inform about the date of the possible meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan as soon as an agreement is reached," said Badalyan.
Earlier, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced that Baku received a proposal from Kazakhstan to organize a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan and gave its consent.
