Armenia and the USA have extended the term of the cooperation agreement in the field of countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction

On May 2, RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan received US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to RA Christina Quinn.

"During the meeting, the current course of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the USA in the field of defense and the development prospects were discussed. We highly appreciated the current level of cooperation on both sides. The American side has expressed its readiness to continue supporting the defense reforms implemented in Armenia.

We also discussed issues related to regional security.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Quinn and I signed the agreement on extending the validity period of the agreement "between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the United States of America on cooperation in the field of countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction," said Suren Papikyan's post.
