Does the cadastre map correspond to the territory of Armenia according to Alma Ata's declaration? The government does not know

 Sputnik Armenia writes:The RA authorities do not know whether the map of the RA State Cadastre Committee corresponds to the RA territory fixed by the Alma Ata declaration.

Earlier, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia announced that the state registrations of rights were made by the cadastre committee in Kirants village of Tavush region based on inaccurate data.

In order to understand the situation, we first sent a request to the office of RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, who heads the commission on border delimitation with Azerbaijan. We were urged to send the questions to the State Cadastre Committee, but we did not receive an answer there either.

"Providing information on those questions is beyond the jurisdiction of the Cadastre Committee," the committee replied.

On the basis of which maps the Cadastre electronic map was made, particularly in the case of border areas, we were informed that cadastral mapping works were carried out on the territory of RA during the years 1998-2005 at the initiative of the RA government.

"The specified works were carried out by legal and natural persons with appropriate qualification (license). Graphical and textual legal documents on real estate, various maps, land construction and urban planning program documents, master plans, collections of geodetic base coordinates were the starting materials for cadastral mapping works," the answer states.

As for the electronic map of the Cadastre Committee, it is emphasized that it is a cartographic module of the electronic service provision platform of the Cadastre Committee, which includes the electronic cadastral maps created on the basis of mapping data and currently maintained.

Earlier, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia announced that in the village of Kirants of the Tavush region, the Cadastre Committee made state registrations of rights based on inaccurate data.
