Do you want us to live with the mentality of an immigrant? I don't want that. "Publication"
"Hraparak" writes. The "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, led by Reverend Bagrat, announced the beginning of the decisive stage yesterday in Republic Square, which will require 4 days and 96 hours. And in order to achieve this, at the request of the people, the opposition deputies of the National Assembly should initiate an extraordinary session of the parliament on June 11, at 18:30, with the agenda of the resignation of the government and the formation of a new government. The transitional government will also act in three agenda directions: 1. A government of reconciliation, composed of all the able, with their professional merit, knowledge and dedication, on the principle of internal reconciliation, justice. 2. Foreign relations with real peace, without antagonism, with the Armenian agenda. 3. Preparation and holding of special or regular elections within the defined period, ensuring initial justice for all political forces.
Theater actor Arman Navasardyan, who was born in Berd city of Tavush, also joined the movement. Taking advantage of the opportunity, we asked him a few questions.
"Arman, you were in Tavush a month ago next to Bagrat Srbazan and the participants of the movement. During this time, what observations do you have regarding the movement?"
"I cannot talk about the progress of the movement or draw parallels, because I was at the gatherings in Tavush and I was just discharged, but I can say that there is quite a lot of energy in the movement, and it will be very difficult to suppress or reduce that energy. In other words, that energy will not extinguish itself and must be crowned with some kind of victory."
"The archbishop says that we will achieve the resignation of the government only in a peaceful and legal way. Will the people have that patience or, as happened in the case of the movements that started in recent years, will it die out at some point?"
"It is the most dangerous thing, and, of course, I would not want it to fade away, because with the fading of every hope, the people lose their faith. And, in general, it is a very bad thing when you go towards the goal with hope, but you do not reach your goal. It breaks you, disappoints you, it can make a person leave everything and emigrate, in general, stop dreaming, have no hopes for the future. And this, not only in national and political issues, but also as a person in general, he will lose his ability to dream, which is a very sad thing."
"Unfortunately, border demarcation and demarcation works were intensively carried out in Tavush during this one month, and Azerbaijani flags are flying in some locations and positions. As a resident of Tavush, do you think it was possible to prevent all this, or would we have faced the same problem whoever was in this situation?"
"The demarcation is not finished yet, moreover, it will not be finished only with Voskepar and Kirants, demarcation will still be carried out on the side of Ijevan, because there are still some villages to hand over... it is written about them in Azerbaijan's demands, then it will come to the side of Vardenis, and so it will go down to the corridor of Syunik. As for whether this was inevitable or not, at least we lived for several decades in a country where such questions did not exist, and such a thing did not even occur to a person, and now, when they say that it is one, it was going to happen, and I say, why didn't it happen all these years, why didn't anyone think that something like this could happen?"
