The last visit of the CC leader to Syunik was distinguished by the fact that he visited settlements where Armenia suffered serious strategic losses after the Azerbaijani aggression of September 2022. Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the National Assembly "I have honor" faction, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

According to him, in the direction of Chakaten, Srashen, Shikahoghi, Nerkin Hand, the Republic of Baku had secured the tunnels, as a result of which not only the Armenian settlements in that direction, but also the second Kapan-Meghri highway of republican and regional importance were under effective observation.

"No matter what investment the state makes in those settlements, one thing is that the issue of security will always be up in the air. The government has given up its strategic advantage and is trying to hide it carefully by wrapping the topic with domestic elements," wrote Abrahamyan.
