The EU and Ukraine intend to sign the agreement on security guarantees by the end of June
European Union Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Representative Josep Borrell stated that the EU and Ukraine intend to sign the agreement on security guarantees for Kyiv by the end of June. According to "Detq", the British "Reuters" news agency informs about this.
"We are finalizing the text of Ukraine's security guarantees. I hope that the works will be completed very soon to sign the agreement. Maybe this month, maybe within the framework of the next EU summit," said the European official.
According to Borel, the agreement will send a signal to Russia about the support of the Ukrainian state by the European Union.
Let's remind that on June 13, the presidents of the USA and Ukraine, Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a 10-year security agreement.
Within the framework of the agreement, the US will provide Ukraine with military products and intelligence, as well as train Ukrainian army soldiers and develop the country's military-industrial complex.
