Bagheri and Lavrov discussed Iran-Russia relations and the regional situation

Bagheri expressed hope that important documents on bilateral cooperation, especially the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement, including the use of Iran's transit capacity, will be finalized as soon as possible.
Speaking about regional events and the Gaza war, Bagheri stressed the need to end Israel's crimes against Palestinians as soon as possible.

He noted that the source of the aggravation of the crisis in the region is the neglect of this issue and the expansion of the Zionist regime's attacks.
Bagheri praised Moscow's efforts to raise the issue of Palestine and Israel's crimes during the Russian presidency in the Security Council.

Congratulating again on the successful holding of the presidential elections in Iran and expressing satisfaction with the course of bilateral cooperation, the Russian Foreign Minister noted that the Russian authorities attach importance to the resolution of agenda issues related to Iran.
Referring to Moscow's concern regarding the expansion of the scope of the war in Gaza, including Lebanon, Sergey Lavrov stated that his country strives to prevent this, adding that all parties must take responsibility in this regard.
