The "information warfare" of Yerevan and Baku are just a veil

Political scientist Suren Surenyants writes: "I think it is even pointless to discuss whose fault or refusal caused the failure of the meeting between Pashinyan and Aliyev in London today.
The reality is that none of them are motivated to sign a peace treaty, at least it is not a priority for either Pashinyan or Aliyev.

Aliyev understands that he is gradually getting satisfaction of all his demands from Pashinyan, and he is using the institution of direct negotiations for that purpose, not wanting to bind himself with any document.

Pashinyan's main problem is not the peace agreement, but changing the country's strategic orientation. In this sense, the negotiation impasse is more preferable for him than bringing another humiliating document to Yerevan, especially since it can cause internal political "headaches". Of course, Pashinyan's behavior is like an irresponsible adventurer, because it can open the door to a new war, where Armenia will be completely defenseless and without allies in front of Azerbaijan (this will be the consequence of changing the country's strategic orientation).

And the "information warfare" of Yerevan and Baku are just a veil."
