Iran needs 1-2 weeks to create nuclear weapons. Blinken
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Friday that Iran needs 1-2 weeks to create military-grade material as Tehran continues to develop its nuclear program, CNN reported.
"Iran, because the nuclear agreement was canceled, instead of moving to the production of fissile material after a year, is now probably 1-2 weeks away from it," he said.
"They didn't create the weapon, but that's certainly something we're following very closely," Blinken added.
According to him, the US policy is aimed at "not allowing Iran to have nuclear weapons, and that the administration would prefer to prevent this through diplomatic means."
