Without a peace treaty, Armenia is isolated from regional projects. Azerbaijani MP
Azerbaijani MP Rasim Musabaov answered the questions of the Azerbaijani "AYNA" website.
He noted that "if Yerevan has assumed responsibility, it should participate in the COP29 event in Baku with its representative." He added that official Yerevan should realize that Armenia needs more peace. Without peace, Armenia is isolated from regional projects. With this, Armenia's economy is in decline.
"Is it possible to sign a peace agreement before November, COP29?"
"Aliyev has stated that a significant part of the text of the peace agreement has been agreed upon, and it would be good if the agreement was signed before COP29. There is such a method in diplomacy: the agreed text is initialed. In order not to lose the contract, the parties sign it, but this does not mean that the document is sent for approval. The parties continue peaceful negotiations."
"There are opinions in the Armenian society that if the agreement is not signed by November, there may be a new war. How likely is this?"
"I don't think there will be a third war. Because there is no factor that will push Azerbaijan and Armenia to war. None of the parties has any big territorial claims to the other, nor does it have any warlike ambitions. Therefore, I do not think that there will be a war. If military provocations are carried out by Armenia, the Azerbaijani army can take steps to eliminate them. Such events are unlikely to turn into large-scale military operations."
"According to its adopted policy, the Azerbaijani side is planning a military operation by carrying out provocations, the responsibility of which will be placed on Armenia."
