Turkey is ready to normalize relations with Armenia when the necessary conditions are in place: Turkish Foreign Minister

Summarizing the results of his visit to Russia, Hakan Fidan stated in an interview with the newspaper Türkiye that the government of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has taken “very important steps” toward the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.

According to him, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has also taken “many important steps,” including measures aimed at establishing direct trade and air links.

“It is also clear what needs to be done in the next phase. We are ready to normalize relations once the necessary conditions are established,” Fidan said.
