Against the background of tensions with Armenia, Azerbaijan is buying drones and military equipment from abroad, according to reports, they also come from Israel and Turkey.

According to Armenpress, the head of the RA representation in the European Union, Ambassador Tigran Balayan said this in a conversation with Brussels Signal.

Armenia has tracked purchases of munitions that reportedly arrived on military flights, including from Israel and Turkey. These shipments are believed to include drones.

"60 or 70 percent of Azerbaijan's military equipment comes from Israel, and then from Turkey," Balayan said.

The ambassador also noted that military flights from Serbia, which recently announced an agreement to sell some artillery equipment to Azerbaijan, have increased.

Balayan, talking about Azerbaijan's recent aggression, as a result of which 4 Armenian servicemen were killed, noted that it was a response to the increase in the level of cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.

"That attack was a message not only to Armenia, but also to Brussels," Balayan said, adding that the incident happened a few hours before the meeting of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council.

Balayan described the attack as a clear "challenge" to EU "power" in the region.

The ambassador noted that Azerbaijan has no intention to end the conflict with Armenia.

"Despite all the warning calls, Azerbaijan did not stop its aggressive rhetoric, aggressive actions, killings and provocations," he said.
