Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan confirmed today that Russian border guards will withdraw from Tavush region after demarcation and demarcation with Azerbaijan.

In response to the "Azatutyun's" question, the Prime Minister said that what is happening now is, of course, a significant change in the situation and this change should have its impact in all directions.

"It means that we do not have a front line and we have a border, and the border is a sign of peace, and this means that the border guards of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be able to independently protect the border by interacting with each other," said the head of the executive.

Pashinyan informed that the heads of the border guard services of Armenia and Azerbaijan are already in contact with each other and they should also agree on the implementation of the service.

As for providing protection, according to the Prime Minister, "it is a completely different issue."

"Here, please do not give in to provocations. We are not going to spread our defense plans on the tables and show them to the cameras. But our expectation and our perception is that we are going for peace. This is also a very important cornerstone for the peace process," Pashinyan said.
