Aliyev referred to the demarcation process

On May 19, a meeting between Ilham Aliyev and Ebrahim Raisi took place at the state border of Iran and Baku. Aliyev left for Iran to participate in the opening ceremony of the Araks river dam.

The dictator of Baku noted that they will participate in the opening of a project that is of great importance for both countries, according to him, the important thing is that Iran and Baku today show joint political will and express willingness to be together.

Aliyev made a speech at the commissioning ceremony of "Khudaferi" and "Kiz-kalas" hydroelectric power stations located on the Araks River on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border. He referred to Armenia. "I think that Armenia should not make mistakes. Regional issues should be resolved with the direct participation and will of the countries of the region. I hope that Armenia, by conducting the right policy, will contribute to regional cooperation instead of harming it."

Referring to the demarcation process, Aliyev said: "Now the issue of determining the borders between Armenia and Baku is going on. We see the first positive results of this process. It gives hope that finally after a long pause, a peace agreement can be signed between the two countries. We welcome Iran's support in this matter."

The peace agreement that Aliyev mentioned has nothing to do with real peace.
