Extraordinary presidential elections will be held in the Islamic Republic of Iran on June 28. According to "Detq", the Iranian state news agency IRNA reports that this was announced by the press secretary of Iran's pre-election headquarters, Mohsen Eslami.

The media reported that in connection with the death of President Ebrahim Raisi as a result of the destruction of a helicopter in the East Azerbaijan province of Iran on May 19, extraordinary presidential elections will be held in Iran.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan Province Malek Rahmati, Friday imam of Tabriz city Mohammad Ali Ale Hashem and head of the president's bodyguard were in the same helicopter with the president of Iran. All passengers and crew members of the helicopter were killed.
