The state apparatus of Azerbaijan continues to spread scientific false theses on various international platforms. Recently, on the initiative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the photo exhibition "Christian heritage in the multicultural identity of Azerbaijan" was opened in Poland. "Geghard" Scientific Analytical Foundation has released a message about this.

It is mentioned in the message that the event was attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Poland Nargiz Gurbanova, the executive director of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism Ravan Hasanov, the president of the Agvanaud Christian-religious community Robert Mobili, the president of the "Azerbaijani Bible Society" Christian-religious community Rasim Khalilov and others.

"Let's remember that these people are intensively involved in the policy of expropriation of Armenian heritage in Artsakh. In particular, R. Mobily, being the leader of the Udiyan community, after the 44-day Artsakh war, the Udiyan community repeatedly "directed" Armenian churches - Dadivank, Amaras, Tsitsernavank - in order to perform religious rituals.

With a number of international agreements and declarations (The Hague Protocols I and II of 1954, the Agreement on the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of 2003, the Faro Convention of 2005, etc.), not only the physical destruction and vandalism of monuments, but also the erasure and transformation of the identity of churches is considered a crime.

In her opening speech of the event, Ambassador Nargiz Gurbanova spoke about the traditions of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan, noting: "Historically, in our country, representatives of different religions and peoples lived side by side, peacefully and harmoniously."

What kind of peace and harmonious living are we talking about when during the war of 2020, which was unleashed by the ruling regime of Azerbaijan, it mercilessly targeted civilian objects and the civilian population, and the Azerbaijani dictatorship with "multicultural traditions" kept 120,000 under siege for almost ten months. of the Armenian population, subjecting them to starvation, physical and psychological pressures.

The authorities of the "strong" country, with the connivance of the superpowers, subjected the civilian population to forced displacement after the blockade and continued to appropriate the Armenian cultural heritage of Artsakh, playing their "peaceful and multicultural" role.

"Geghard" Scientific and Analytical Foundation condemns the policy conducted by the state regime of Azerbaijan and urges international organizations and democratic countries to condemn the Aliyev dictatorial regime and prevent the destruction of Armenian cultural heritage.
