"Fact" daily writes: "For years, among other crimes, Azerbaijan has been regularly attacking Armenia's mining industry with the aim of harming our country's economy. During the last two-three years, there have been many calls by NGOs, environmentalists, and experts controlled by the governmental circles of Azerbaijan to stop the construction of the Amulsar mine, ZPMK, Agarak combine, and the metallurgical plant in Ararat Marz. Moreover, they were able to achieve that the operation of the Sotk open mine was stopped, and the construction of the metallurgical plant in Yeraskh was stopped and moved to another place.

And so, on the second day of the Azerbaijani Non-Governmental Organizations Cooperation Forum held in Zangelan, a discussion on "Environmental consequences of mining in Armenia" took place. Azerbaijani environmentalists and representatives of state bodies have made repeated manipulative accusations against Armenia, using yet another opportunity to declare that Armenia's mining industry is causing serious damage to the environment. Moreover, Azerbaijanis noted that although Armenia's natural resources are quite small, its share in environmental damage in the region is large. Moreover, this was said by the representative of a country whose oil production alone is a huge threat to the environmental protection of the region.

By the way, according to our information, Amin Mamedov, the secretary of the Public Council of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, made a strong speech, who, by the way, is the initiator of the Environmental Protection First coalition, which thanked the Armenian organizations that opposed the exploitation of the Amulsar mine."
