Turkmenistan and Iran signed a large gas contract

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkmenistan signed a large gas contract.According to "Detq", the Iranian state news agency IRNA informs about this.

It is reported that on July 1-3 in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, negotiations on gas were held between the Turkmen and Iranian parties. During these negotiations, a wide range of issues related to the further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran were discussed.

It is also noted that as a result of the meetings, the Turkmen and Iranian parties signed an agreement for the purchase and sale of up to 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. According to the contract, Turkmen gas will be supplied to the Islamic Republic of Iran through the territory of Iraq.
