Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, for contributing to the peaceful resolution of the rebellion raised by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the private military organization "Wagner" in Russia. "Thank you to all our military, law enforcement, special services who stood in the way of the rebels, remained faithful to their duty, oath and their people. "The bravery and self-sacrifice of the martyred heroic pilots saved Russia from a tragedy, the consequences of which would have been devastating," he noted.
