During the counter-offensive, the Ukrainian forces liberated 130 square kilometers of territory in the south. Anna Malyar
Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar stated that the Ukrainian armed forces liberated approximately 130 square kilometers of territory in the southern direction during their counter-offensive. According to "Detq", Malyar made a note about this in his Telegram channel.
Anna Malyar informed that currently the attack of Ukrainians in the direction of Melitopol and Berdyansk continues. According to him, during the week, the Ukrainian forces carried out both defensive and offensive operations and had tactical successes.
The Ukrainian official said that the Russian troops launched an attack in the directions of Limansk, Bakhmutsk, Avdeevsky and Marinsk, and heavy fighting continues there. "About 250 clashes took place in these regions during the past week. The enemy tried to push our troops out of their positions, but he did not succeed," he said.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine said that at the end of last week, the Ukrainian troops in the east began to carry out counter-offensive operations in the regions of Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Bakhmut, Bogdanovka, Yagodnoye, Kleschevka and Kurdyumovka. He reported that now the Ukrainian side has an advance of 1 to 2 km in any direction, and the army troops are fixed on the acquired lines, continuing to destroy the enemy.
Malyar added that during the previous week the situation on the southern front did not change significantly, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued offensive operations in the directions of Melitopol and Berdyansk.

Ukrainian forces have been carrying out counter-offensive operations along the front in recent weeks, but unlike their previous counter-offensive, when they managed to regain control of the entire Kharkiv region, this time they have not yet recorded significant success. This is also due to the fact that this counterattack was not unexpected, and the Russian forces managed to strengthen themselves in the areas they occupied.
