The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raeisi, had a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. According to "Detq", the Iranian "ParsToday" news agency informs about this.
Raeisi stressed that Iran and Qatar have good opportunities to expand bilateral, regional and international cooperation with each other. He noted that Iran has always attached importance to raising the level of relations and expanding cooperation with Qatar.
At the same time, the President of Iran thanked the Emir and the Prime Minister of Qatar for their efforts to promote Iran's joint programs and agreements. He drew attention to the fact that Iran views the development of bilateral cooperation as a means of strengthening regional and international cooperation.
"Taking into consideration the positive discussions and consultations that were held in the direction of the development of relations, we are ready to convene a joint commission for economic cooperation in the near future," he stated.
