France should evade interventionist statements. Nasser Kanaani

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nasser Kanaani, advised the French authorities to avoid accusations and interventionist statements against Iran. According to "Detq", Kanaani wrote about this on his official Twitter page.

At the same time, the Iranian official urged France to use the correct name of the Persian Gulf.

"If the French Foreign Ministry is referring to the Persian Gulf, it should use the correct, historical and international name of that region. "France, which is several thousand kilometers away from the Persian Gulf, is advised to avoid making accusations and making interventionist statements against Iran," he wrote.

It should be noted that the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the EU should have a greater presence in the region due to the rapid developments in the Persian Gulf region and the continued instability of Iran.

In the official statement, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs used the term "Gulf" instead of the term "Persian Gulf", which caused the displeasure of the Iranian side. The Persian Gulf region is extremely important from a geopolitical point of view with rich oil reserves, and for this very reason, Western countries refuse to use the wording "Persian Gulf".
