"In the case of Artsakh, I remain decisive." Emmanuel Macron

During his three-day visit to Marseille, French President Emmanuel Macron met with various influential circles of Marseille whom he personally invited. This was reported by the ARF press service.

Responding to the appeal addressed to him at the meeting, that Armenians expect practical support from France and not only moral support, Macron said: "I put more pressure on Aliyev and I will put more pressure on him than Pashinyan himself. The issue is Pashinyan, I am the only one who has a clear position and message on Artsakh."

Even last week, French President Emmanuel Macron called to activate the supply of weapons to Armenia and to open a French consulate in Syunik region.

It is no secret that France has supported the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the resolution of issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and arising from it. But if we look at the practical steps, then nothing will give us hope. In the conditions of instability created during and after the war, France has only voiced words of support both verbally and in writing. However, no mechanism was used to restrain Azerbaijan in favor of Armenia and Artsakh.

No matter how much France or other allies show support to Armenia, it should be remembered that in difficult times, the troops of the allies have a habit of not coming to help or delaying.

We have to rely on our own forces, our Armenian security structures.
