Azerbaijan has increased expenditures on defense and national security

In the first half of 2023, the authorities of Azerbaijan allocated 2 billion 147.5 million manats (1 billion 263.2 million dollars) from the state budget for the financing of defense and national security.

According to the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan, 15.27% of all budget expenditures were directed to defense and national security.

As the Ministry of Defense of the country announced earlier, 6 billion 54 million 844.623 manats (3 billion 561.4 million dollars at the current exchange rate) are planned for defense and security expenses in this year's state budget of Azerbaijan.
