Iran's strategy is to make the country's borders more secure. Raisi

Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has stated that the country's strategy is to make its own borders safer and more secure and turn them into economic borders. According to "Detq", the Iranian state news agency IRNA informs that Raisi said this during a meeting with the commander of the Pakistani army, Seyed Asem Monir.

Raisi emphasized that the development of border markets and the expansion of cooperation in the energy sector are among the ways of implementing this strategy. At the same time, he noted the need to give impetus to the activities of the two countries for the realization of the aforementioned goals.

The Iranian president drew attention to the fact that strengthening relations with neighboring, allied and Muslim countries is one of the priorities of Iran's foreign policy. In this context, he said that the quick implementation of the agreements signed between Iran and Pakistan will contribute to increasing the level of trade and economic cooperation and political relations more than ever.

In his turn, Seyed Asem Monir, the commander of the Pakistani army, praised the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the strengthening of relations with neighboring countries, especially with Pakistan. According to his conviction, Tehran's policy is a very valuable opportunity for the Islamic world.

At the same time, the two countries have cooperation issues of mutual interest related to border security. In particular, the militant groups located in Pakistan and not controlled by the authorities of that country pose a threat to Iran as well, and the latter tries to neutralize this threat in different ways.
