Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations have reached the level of strategic partnership

As we informed, on July 19, Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan received the Abdullah Aripov, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

It was emphasized that thanks to the joint efforts of the heads of state Ilham Aliyev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations have reached the level of comprehensively developing strategic partnership.

This was reported by the Azerbaijani APA news agency, according to "Detq".

The parties noted that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan closely cooperate within the framework of international organizations, including the United Nations, the CIS, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Organization of Turkic States.

The parties emphasized the session of the intergovernmental joint commission on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan held in Shushi on July 18. They expressed hope that the decisions made as a result of the meeting will contribute to the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan will preside over the Organization of Turkic States this year.
